Aaron was born October 8, 1972, in Scottsbluff, to Daniel Rexius and Kathleen “Kay” Thomas.  He attended Morrill High School graduating with the class of 1991.

Aaron was just a small child when he sparked an interest in farming, tractors, and machinery.  He aspired to be a farmer one day, and eventually began working as a farm hand for several years.  Aaron later attended school in Kansas and became certified in heavy equipment operation.  He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the past 20 years in Torrington.

He was a fan of the Wyoming Cowboys, the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoyed watching NASCAR.  Aaron was a very talented chef and liked experimenting with various recipes.  He had multiple smokers that he used to cook savory meats.  He had a green thumb and grew a bountiful garden, later incorporating his homegrown vegetables into his recipes.  Aaron was very industrious and took an interest in chainsaws and wood cutting.  He was meticulous and knowledgeable in how he cared for his prized machinery.
