Angelina “Angie” Chairez-Chavez, age 63, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with her brother, Fr. Jose Chavez, and Fr. Joseph Thambi as Con-Celebrants. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery near Scottsbluff. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Scottsbluff or St. Jude Shrine. The Mass will be livestreamed and recorded on Angie’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Angie was born on April 7, 1962, in Mexico City, Mexico, to her parents, Manuel and Josefina (Agreda) Chavez. She received her elementary education at Roosevelt Elementary and then attended Scottsbluff Junior and Senior High schools, proudly graduating in 1982.

Angie was united in marriage to Jesus Chairez on May 23, 1987, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff.

She was employed at Kmart over the span of two decades, working in the deli and managing Little Caesars. Angie later transitioned to a position at Wal-Mart before concluding her career as a paraeducator with Scottsbluff Public Schools and Banner County Schools.

Angie was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and cooking delicious meals. She also liked going out of town and stopping by garage sales. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jesus Chairez; sons, Ricardo (Pam) Chairez, Carlos Chairez, and Miguel (Brandi) Chairez; daughter, Monica Chairez; parents, Manuel and Josefina Chavez; sisters, Margie (Robert) Godinez and Rosie (Frank) Rodriguez; brother, Father Jose Chavez; grandchildren, Ricky, Giovanni, Gabriel, Izaveaha, and Sophia; niece, Fatima Rodriguez along with numerous other nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Hugo Chairez, Abraham (Alma) Chairez, Luis (Imelda) Chairez, and Ceasar (Margarita) Chairez; sister-in-law, Teresita De Jesus; and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Abraham and Teresa Chairez; brother-in-law, Francisco Chairez; paternal and maternal grandparents; along with uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members.
