Aubree Lynn Drake

February 2, 2024 — May 11, 2024

Baby girl, Aubree Lynn Drake, Mommy and Daddy’s Little Bee, Grandma’s Little Sugar Plum, and Uncle Jordan’s Little Bobree, age three months, passed away peacefully next to her loving parents on Saturday, May 11, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Andrew Griess officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made in care of the family.  Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.reverencefuneralparlor.com

Aubree was born on her mommy’s birthday, February 2, 2024, to Hailey Leonard and Aiden Drake.  She was a strong little fighter, beating obstacles daily since her early arrival.  She brought joy to all who were lucky enough to know her with her beautiful smile and tiny personality. Aubree loved being held and dancing with her parents.  Grandma singing, "You Are My Sunshine” brought joy to her. She also enjoyed car rides, warm baths, and soft blankets.  Her little legs would kick with excitement when she was playing.

Although her time on this earth was too short, she was loved beyond words by her parents, grandparents, great grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.  Aubree was truly the most precious bundle of joy.

Survivors include her parents, Hailey Leonard and Aiden Drake; grandparents, Stacy and Christopher Leonard; great-grandfather, Dennis Allen; great-grandparents, Sherree and Mark Leonard; uncles, Jordan and Trenton Overlin, and Ethan Morrison; aunt, Delila Morrison; along with great aunts, great uncles, and second cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Marcia Allen.

The Rosebud

On your journey to heaven, Oh, littlest of angels.  I’ll forever give thanks.  You came first to my arms, where you lay in warm sweetness for the briefest of moments. My name on your bracelet…  Baby girl of my own.  Not even the rosebud, nor the first crocus petal could match the soft wonder of your small, flowering face… Though you lingered, oh so briefly, our torn hearts found comfort, and your fair, infant presence gave our sorrow a grace.  Etched in our memories, to hold and to treasure, are experiences we had not known; these you gave, in your innocence, to your mother and father; and oh, little darling, we are richer by far, to have held you a moment, then to never have held you at all. -Unknown
