Aylin Portillo Peinado

Aylin Portillo Peinado, age 12, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Weborg 21 Centre in Gering, Nebraska with Javier Parra and Gabriel Saenz officiating. Guests are kindly asked to please use the west entrance. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. No viewing will be held. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Aylin was born February 27, 2012, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Agustin Portillo and Lucero Peinado. She was currently a sixth-grade student at Bluffs Middle School. Aylin was very kind and intelligent, achieving academic success in the classroom and the admiration of her teachers and peers.

Aylin was very active and enjoyed swimming, skating, dancing, and gymnastics. She also liked going to the park, singing, and spending time with her friends. She was a member of Girls on the Run.

Her personality could be described as silly, sassy, and funny! Aylin was known to be adventurous, brave, and competitive. She had a big heart and carried empathy and compassion for others. These qualities made her a cherished friend of many. She could also be relied on for her honesty and fierce protectiveness. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving parents, Agustin and Lucero; three sisters, Arisay, Priscila, and Damarys; niece, Ailana; along with other extended family members and numerous friends.

Aylin was preceded in death by her grandma, Maria; and aunt, Nely.

Se llevará a cabo un funeral a las 10 a. m. del martes 30 de abril de 2024 en el Centro Weborg 21 en Gering, Nebraska con Javier Parra y Gabriel Saenz de Oficiantes. Aylin nació el 27 de febrero de 2012 en Scottsbluff, Nebraska, hija de Agustín Portillo y Lucero Peinado. Actualmente era estudiante de sexto grado en la Escuela Secundaria Bluffs. Aylin era muy amable e inteligente, logrando el éxito académico en el aula y la admiracion de sus profesores y compañeros. 

Aylin era muy activa y disfrutaba nadar, patinar, bailar y hacer gimnasia. También le gustaba ir al parque, cantar y pasar tiempo con sus amigos. Fue miembro de Girls on the Run. ¡Su personalidad podría describirse como cómica, atrevida y divertida! Aylin era conocida por ser aventurera, valiente y competitiva. Tenía un gran corazón y sentía empatía y compasión por los demás. Estas cualidades la convirtieron en una amiga querida por muchos. También se podía confiar en ella por su honestidad y su feroz protección. Ella será amada por siempre y extrañada profundamente.

Le sobreviven sus amados padres, Agustín y Lucero; tres hermanas, Arisay, Priscila y Damarys; sobrina, Ailana; junto con otros familiares y numerosos amigos.

 Aylin le precedieron en la muerte su abuela, María; y tía Nely.
