Barbara Ann Jones

Barbara Ann Jones, age 79, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place, and Barbara will be laid to rest at a later date alongside her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Barbara was born March 17, 1947, in Beaufort, North Carolina, and was later adopted by John and Audreybelle Ray.

She met Donald Ray Jones, and the couple married on Valentine's Day of 1970.

Barbara was a loving mom and grandma, and her kindness extended far beyond her own family. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Wilmers; and great-grandchildren, Haylee and Hayden.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; granddaughters, Tracie Higdon and Stacie Cunningham; grandson, Donald R. "DJ" Jones; and son-in-law, William "Bill" Wilmers.
