Bill Fedorchik

Bill Fedorchik, 85, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Monument Rehab and Care in Scottsbluff. Bill was born January 10, 1939, in Morrill, Nebraska to Bill and Anna (Snitko) Fedorchik. He was one of eight children and raised on a farm south of Morrill. Bill graduated from Morrill High School in 1957 and soon entered the United States Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1960.

Bill became united in marriage to Carol Behling in 1967. Together they welcomed three children, Bill, Todd, and Kari.

Bill worked at Coop in the tire shop but later began employment at Western Sugar Factory where he remained for nearly forty years. He also worked at Westco in Morrill shortly before his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his lifetime. Bill was an avid pool player and liked playing cards with his friends at Lordinos. However, his favorite pastime was dancing, dancing, and more dancing, especially doing the jitterbug!

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Bill (Kerri)Fedorchik, Todd (Teena) Fedorchik, and Kari (Darrell) Franklin; nine grandchildren, Jacob (Sara), Jerrod (Amanda), Austen, Kalista, Kurtis, Eli, Ryder, Sarah (Kevin Barthel), and Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Braydon, Braxton, and Charlotte; siblings, Sophie Wallentine-Luchterhand, Vera Applegate-Morgan, Helen Seifert, and Henry (Rosemary) Fedorchik; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Anna; sister, Olga Brandt; two infant sisters; brother, Henry; brothers-in-law, Bob Applegate, Jerry Seifert, Jerry Wallentine, Chuck Morgan, Darold Brandt and Don Luchterhand; niece, Diana Applegate; and nephew, Cody Bindschadler.
