Cecilia Garcia

Cecilia Garcia, age 68, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes, and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date. Cecilia was born on August 24, 1958, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Lorraine Carrillo and Manuel Ojeda. She obtained her associates degree as a practical nurse and graduated from Western Nebraska Community College in 1989. Cecilia worked in nursing for over 40 years and loved her profession.

She was a creative soul who enjoyed various arts and crafts. Cecilia valued quality time with family, especially her grandchildren, and friends.

Survivors include her children, Marlena (Maria Lopez) and Michael (Makelia Gallegos) Garza; grandchildren, Jaclyn Garza, Yasenia, Natalia, and Alondra Loya, Adrianna LittleEagle, Michael Jr., Brandon, Maximos, Melody, and Meadow Garza; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Evelyn (Rigo) Acosta, Nadine Renteria, and Rosalinda (Joaquin) Chavez.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Carrillo; uncle, Tony Carrillo; aunt, Leola Carrillo; and brother-in-law, Andres Renteria.
