Constance M. Olson

Constance Maureen Olson, age 78, passed away at her home in Gering, Nebraska, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes, and services will be scheduled in Denver, Colorado, at a later date. Constance was born on November 24, 1947, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Mons H. and Martha M. (Rivers) Olson.

Constance was a headstrong, independent woman who knew her own mind and wasn’t afraid to speak it. She had a playful, sometimes quirky, sense of humor and a way of bringing personality and laughter into the lives of those around her. She was open-minded and progressive in her views, and she held strongly to the values and beliefs that were important to her. Above all, she was unapologetically herself.

Survivors include her children, Gena Jensen and Jeffrey Olson; grandchildren, Cody Olson, and Jennifer, Stephen, and Amanda Zavala; great-grandchild, Camden Zavala; siblings, Keith and Rosetta Traversie, and Ove Olson; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved, faithful cat, Annie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mons and Martha Olson; and siblings, Sandra, Patricia, and Patrick Olson.
