Della was born March 10, 1956, in Crawford, Nebraska to Jacob and Vivian Elizabeth (Marshall) Stands. She primarily made her home in the Scottsbluff area until moving to Bayard with her family in 2019.

Della was a proud mother each time she welcomed her children into the world. She was overjoyed when she advanced to becoming a grandma and great grandma. Della was also the neighborhood mom and grandma to many others throughout the years. She always put her family first.

Her work history covered a vast variety of jobs and titles over time including waitressing and labor positions.

Della was a member of the Chuck Wagon Church where she was very active until her health deteriorated. She faithfully attended services and volunteered her time where needed when she was able.

She enjoyed sewing all types of creations and challenged herself to try new patterns. Friends and family received pillows, clothing, and other gifts she carefully sewed with love. She also liked dancing and cooking delicious meals to share.

Della had a big heart and never hesitated to give to others. Her peaceful, loving nature will be deeply missed by those left to cherish her memory.
