Edward Orozco

Edward Orozco, 68, of Gering, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his home after his wife, JoAnn, kissed him and told him she loved him. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with Pastor Randy Brotzman officiating. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. Memorials may be made in care of the family for designation at a later date. Eddie was born April 22, 1955, in Scottsbluff to Joseph and Angelina (Correa) Orozco. He attended school a few years later receiving his GED.

He married JoAnn Eureste on August 19, 2006, in Gering. The couple made their home together in Gering.

Eddie retired from WNCC as a maintenance crew member after many years of service.

Some of his enjoyments included sitting in his garage, cracking open a cold beer and listening to old school music. Spending time with his beloved grandchildren was always a highlight for him.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Eureste; sons, Rick Williams and Frank (Damara) Eureste; daughters, Sara Williams and Jenna Orozco; brother, Amador (Carla) Orozco; sister, Virginia (Richard) Bales; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Angelina Orozco; in-laws, Alice and Frank Eureste; brothers, Rudy and Michael Orozco; sister-in-law, Josie Orozco; niece, Heather Guerrero; and nephew, Greg Sabala.
