Eva C. Dominguez, age 83, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff with Pastor Mike Erdman officiating. Eva was born August 31, 1942, in Magnolia, Texas, to Luis and Trinidad (Martinez) Castro.
She raised her children in Scottsbluff and later moved to Sterling, Colorado where she thrived in her role at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in the dietary department. Eva moved back home to the Scottsbluff area in 2014. She dedicated many years of her career to the dietary staff of the Scottsbluff Public School District, continuing her service until her passing. Interacting with her co-workers and engaging with the children at school was a highlight of her day. Eva also enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and traveling on vacation. She was a devoted member of The Rock Church in Scottsbluff.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Ruby Gonzales, Teresa Gonzales, and Ami Torres, all of Scottsbluff; sons, Mark (Julie) Gonzales of Omaha, NE, Anthony Gonzales Sr. of Alliance, NE, and Daniel Gonzales of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Arthur Gonzales Jr. of Greeley, CO, Johnathan Gonzales, Mira (Pete) Herrera of Scottsbluff, Issac Rocha of Colorado Springs, CO, Appolonia Gonzales of El Paso, TX, Felecia Hernandez, Joseph Ozuna Jr., Anthony Gonzales Jr. of Scottsbluff, Michael Blanco, Leonard Ray Gonzales, Naomi Mabin, Marcus Duwan Gonzales of Alliance, NE, Eva Dee (Darwin) Kluender of Elk Point, SD, Linda Gonzales, Mark A. Gonzales of Omaha, NE, Keisha Malleck of Scottsbluff, Marissa Palamo, Nicholas Palamo, Victoria Gonzales of Lincoln NE, Johnny (Shonda) Torres Jr. of Omaha, April Torres, and Brielle (Lee) Prouty of Scottsbluff; 69 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Loida Gonzales; brother, Rueben Castro; husband, Mario Dominguez; son, Louis T. Gonzales; son-in-law, Joseph Ozuna Sr.; daughter-in-law, Laurie Gonzales; grandson, Christian Torres; and grandson-in-law, Jesse Hernandez Jr.
Eva’s family would like to thank their Houston family for the love and support they have shown Eva over the past several years.
