Fred C. Evans Jr, 55, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Visitation with family present will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff. Cremation will follow and a celebration of Fred’s life will be announced at a later date. Fred was born November 14, 1968, in Scottsbluff to Fred C. Evans Sr and Doris (Richter) Moore. He graduated from Gering High School in 1988.
Fred was united in marriage to Theresa Cole on March 25, 1992, in Belen, New Mexico. Together they welcomed two children, Kristina, born in Clovis, New Mexico and Timmothy “TJ”, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Theresa was his best friend and the love of his life.
Fred liked collecting die cast cars and working on vehicles. He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years of his life. Fred was a hell of a man with a rugged personality. He could be very outspoken, but he was always willing to help those in need. Spending time with his family and friends was what he enjoyed most.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Evans of Scottsbluff; daughter, Kristina Montanez of Scottsbluff; son Timmothy “TJ” Evans of Scottsbluff; four grandchildren, Jaylynn Evans of Scottsbluff, Gory Matlock-Evans of Mitchell, Derrick “DJ” Montanez of Scottsbluff, and Tristian Montanez of Scottsbluff; aunts, Betty Chavla and Mary Pebley both of Gering; Donna Rider, Jody Albaugh, Alvin, Tracy, and Kira Richter along with several other cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred C. Evans Sr and Doris Moore; grandparents, Kenneth Richter, Rosella Kelley, Charles Lee Evans and Freida Evans; and many uncles.
