Glenn Tating Lizaso, age 62, of Minatare, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at his home. His Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, with Rev. Fr. Rayappa Konka as celebrant. Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., with recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff. Cremation will follow the Mass in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of his wife, Shirly Songco. The Mass will be livestreamed and recorded on Glenn’s obituary page, viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.
Glenn was born on September 9, 1964, in Camarines Sur, Philippines, to Adolfo and Esteves (Tating) Lizaso.
He married Shirly Navarro Songco on October 29, 1986, and to this union came two beautiful children, Katrina and Karl. Glenn and Shirly moved to Falls Church, Virginia, where they had lived for the last 25 years. He worked as an activity coordinator for an assisted living facility. The couple recently moved to Nebraska to be closer to family this past year.
Glenn was best described as a man of few words, who often showed his love through quiet actions, hard work, and a steady presence rather than long speeches and conversations. He was always willing to help with all his ability. Glenn loved cooking for his wife and playing with his grandson Alistair. He was an excellent chess player, could finish any book of John Grisham’s or Tom Clancy’s in one sitting, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy.
Survivors include his beloved wife of over 40 years, Shirly Songco; children, Katrina (Andy) Sieglinde and Karl Siegfreid; grandson, Alistair Konnor Gonzalez; mother, Eves Lizaso; siblings, Amy (Jun) Belir, Juliet (Arnold) Aquino, Arlene (Glen) Lizaso-Obal, Ruth Lizaso-Dy, Karen (TJ) Mella, and Don (Ruth) Lizaso; and nieces and nephews, Sharmaine Dy, Rein Dy, Sarah Obal, Alec Lizaso, Faye Mella, Ken Mella, and Angel Lizaso.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adolfo Lizaso.
Glen brought so much love, warmth, and tenderness into our lives and he will be dearly missed.
