Born on February 5, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas, Hector, aka el Bibi, grew up with a bright spirit and a vibrant personality. He attended Mitchell Elementary and Scottsbluff High School, where his humor, warmth, and natural charm quickly made him a friend to many. He had a special way of making others feel welcomed and valued.
Hector was incredibly intelligent, kind, and unforgettable. His talent for impersonations could bring a room to laughter, and he always shared his gift generously. When he walked in, the atmosphere instantly felt lighter. His passion for life inspired those around him.
Music was one of Hector’s greatest passions. As the lead singer in several rock bands, he brought energy, emotion, and joy to every performance. He treasured the friendships and moments that music created. He also earned a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu at Pagsuko Combat Club, enjoyed playing disc golf, and loved gaming nights with friends—always turning hobbies into shared memories.
Hector loved deeply, and nowhere was that clearer than in his role as an uncle. He adored his niece, Lucia, and nephews, Angelito, Joseph, and Benny. He spoiled them with thoughtful gifts, inside jokes, and his full attention. To them, he was more than an uncle—he was a source of fun, comfort, and love.
Hector served in the Nebraska Army National Guard as a radio technician and received an honorable discharge. He later used his military training to build a meaningful civilian career as a field communications engineer for Motorola, applying his skills with pride and dedication.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maria; his sister, Adriana; his brother, Angel; his stepfather, Armando; his niece and nephews, Lucia, Angelito, Joseph, and Benny; his girlfriend, Jennifer Mandl; and so many close friends who were family to him and held a special place in his heart.
Hector’s absence leaves a deep void, yet his light lives on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories he gifted to those who knew him.
