Jose Trinidad Valles Sr.

Jose Trinidad Valles Sr., 91, of Mitchell, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Mitchell with Fr. Joseph Thambi as Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m., and viewing will begin at 9 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow in accordance with Jose’s wishes and inurnment will be held at a later date at Mitchell City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Jose was born March 19, 1932, in Mexico to Jose and Belen (Chavez) Valles. He married Josefina Fernandez and six children were born. The family moved to the U.S. in the 1980s.

Jose provided for his family working in the restaurant business. He instilled an honorable work ethic in his kids. Jose taught them to work hard and with dignity no matter what duties they were assigned. Jose returned to Mexico upon his retirement. He remained there until his wife’s death in 2008. He then decided to move back to the U.S. to help his kids and grandkids.

Jose was a great man with a heart of gold and willing to help anyone at any time. His kids were always with him, he was the best father.  It was his life goal to raise good and loving kids and for them to look after each other. His humble yet strong personality was admirable, even when he began to become elderly and ill, he never complained. His family would often ask if he was okay and his response would always be, “I’m perfectly fine. You guys keep on going.”

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Jorge (Eustolia) Valles Fernandez, Jose Manuel Valles, Silverio (Socorro) Valles, Jose (Norma) Hugo Valles, Jose (Anita) Luis Valles, and Josefina (Jose) Valles; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended relatives.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Belen; his beloved wife, Josefina Fernandez De Valles; and siblings, Jose Antonio Valles, Roberto Valles, Aurelio Valles, Pedro Valles, Belen Valles, Manuela Valles, and Elena Valles.

José Trinidad Valles Sr., de 91 años, de Mitchell, Nebraska, murió el sábado 12 de Agosto de 2023 en Regional West Medical Center en Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Se llevará a cabo una misa de entierro cristiano a las 11 a. m., Sabado 19 de Agosto de 2023, en la iglesia católica de St. Theresa en Mitchell con el padre. Joseph Thambi de celebrante. El Rosario se rezará a las 10:30 a. m. y la velación comenzará a las 9 a. m. en la iglesia. La cremación seguirá de acuerdo con los deseos de José y la colocación de urna se llevará a cabo en una fecha posterior en el cementerio de la ciudad de Mitchell. José nació el 19 de Marzo de 1932 en México, hijo de José y Belén (Chávez) Valles. Se casó con Josefina Fernández y nacieron seis hijos. La familia se mudó a los Estados Unidos en la década de 1980.

José mantuvo a su familia trabajando en el negocio de los restaurantes. Inculcó una ética de trabajo honorable en sus hijos. José les enseñó a trabajar duro y con dignidad sin importar las tareas que se les asignaran. José regresó a México al jubilarse. Permaneció allí hasta la muerte de su esposa en 2008. Luego decidió regresar a los EE. UU. para ayudar a sus hijos y nietos.

José fue un gran hombre con un corazón de oro y dispuesto a ayudar a cualquiera en cualquier momento. Sus hijos siempre estuvieron con él, fue el mejor padre. El objetivo de su vida era criar niños buenos y amorosos y que se cuidaran unos a otros. Su personalidad humilde pero fuerte era admirable, incluso cuando comenzó a envejecer y enfermar, nunca se quejó. Su familia a menudo le preguntaba si estaba bien y su respuesta siempre era: “Estoy perfectamente bien. Ustedes sigan adelante”.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a sus hijos y sus cónyuges, Jorge (Eustolia) Valles Fernández, José Manuel Valles, Silverio (Socorro) Valles, José (Norma) Hugo Valles, José (Anita) Luis Valles y Josefina (José) Valles; junto con muchos nietos, bisnietos y parientes extensos.

José fue precedido en muerte por sus padres, José y Belén; su amada esposa, Josefina Fernández De Valles; y hermanos y hermanas , Jose Antonio Valles, Roberto Valles, Aurelio Valles, Pedro Valles, Belen Valles, Manuela Valles y Elena Valles.
