Greg was born on March 24, 1965, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Ramon Sr. and Agnes (Ramirez) Rodriguez. He attended school at Roosevelt Elementary and grew up in Scottsbluff before moving to Gering where he attended high school. Greg was active in wrestling and football.
He will always be remembered as a hard worker. Greg enlisted in the National Guard and eventually moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he became certified as an HVAC technician. He lived there for many years alongside his son, JJ. Greg later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, before making his way back to his hometown area where he remained for the rest of his life. His return to Scottsbluff landed him a job as an HVAC instructor which was long overdue.
Greg had many talents and skills. It was said more than once that “Greg could do anything”, and he really could. He was often called upon to help his family with all projects involving construction which often meant traveling to different states to do so and was always available by phone for a consult. Greg had a fun spirit and enjoyed family gatherings. He affectionately called everyone “Cuz”, and his family has numerous crazy stories about Greg that bring smiles to all.
Survivors include his son, Joseph “JJ” Rodriguez Jr.; sisters, Debra (Cale) Margheim and Sally (Mike) Miranda; brothers, Tim and Tommy (Dawn) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Joseph Jay and Serenity Faith Rodriguez; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
“Adios Gregorio, y que Dios te bendiga and may you rest in peace”.
