June Ring

June Ring, 95, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, at her home with her loved ones by her side. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff. Cremation will follow and a private burial will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. June was born June 1, 1928, in Scottsbluff to John and Mary (Schott) Kanzler.

She married John Hoff and two children were born, Janice and Larry. John passed away and she later married Henry Ring. Together they owned Ring Electric where she took care of the business paperwork.

Years later she worked as a Foster Grandparent at Kids First Daycare. She loved the babies and grew lifelong friendships with the teachers.

June enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Anyone who knew her was gifted with plenty of potholders she had made. She was an avid fisher all her life up to her 94^th birthday. Gambling was another pastime she liked. June occasionally went on gambling trips and when she could no longer travel, she would play slots on her tablet.

Survivors include her son,  Larry (Pat) Hoff; son-in-law, Harry Strauch; grandchildren, Bobbi (Lloyd) Cartmill, Stephanie (Tom) Hinds, Larry (Miranda) Hoff, Matt (Norma) Rockwell, Troy (Amy) Strauch, Lorin Strauch, and Travis (Ashley) Strauch; great-grandchildren, Heather, Zachary, Madison, Vanessa, Cameron, Tabitha, Spencer, Trevor, Andrew, and Elicia; great-great grandchildren, Sebastian, Charlotte, and Guillermo; sisters, Donna and Loretta; numerous nephews and nieces; and of course, we can’t forget her beloved granddog, Spike.

June was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; husbands, John and Henry; daughter, Janice Strauch; brothers, Johnny, Melvin, and Harold; and sisters, Dorothy and Lilly.
