Lacey Diane Body (Collins), age 44, passed away due to health complications on Friday, February 6, 2026, at her home in Mitchell, Nebraska. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Mitchell with Pastor Rebekah Burford officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Memorials may be made in care of the family. The funeral will be livestreamed and recorded to Lacey's obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.
Lacey was born on September 11, 1981, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Thomas “Tom” and Carole (Feister) Collins.
She was never one to blend into the background. Lacey had a way of creating laughter from silence and was known for her incredibly unique sense of humor. Whether she was sharing a perfectly timed joke or another funny voice, Lacey kept those around her laughing and loving.
Lacey found beauty and escape in many forms, making her a true artist at heart. She could often be found with her nose in a book, lost in a sketchpad bringing her imagination to life, or immersed in the stories of her favorite movies and shows. Her creativity was matched only by her profound kindness toward animals; she possessed a massive heart for all creatures, great and small.
Her presence was a gift to those who knew her, and her one-of-a-kind energy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many pets she loved throughout her life.
Survivors include her parents, Thomas and Carole (Feister) Collins; siblings, Kimberly Emmerich, LeAnne Skavdahl, Laurie Robles, and Micheal Collins; children, Bailee Moore, and Philip and Keaton Body; grandchildren, Dakota and Brixlee; special friend, Michael Richter; and fur-babies, Squirrel, Ivy, and Kinkerton.
