Larry Lee Feagler

Larry Lee Feagler, age 69, of Mitchell, Nebraska, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at his home on Friday, October 30, 2026. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. At the family’s request, there will be no formal memorial service or celebration of life taking place. Family and friends are welcome to join for an informal gathering to visit, share memories, and spend time together on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Morrill American Legion, in Morrill, Nebraska. Memorials may be made to his wife, Roberta Jeffres, for later designation to pets in need at Mitchell Valley Animal Hospital. Larry was born on March 26, 1957, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Lawrence and Mary Margaret (Deines) Feagler.

He married Bobby Kay Heward and to this union came three sons, Andrew, Aaron, and Tyson. The couple divorced and Larry found love again in his forever partner, Roberta “Bert” Ann Jeffres. He and Bert tied the knot in 2019 after eighteen years together. Larry’s roots were always deeply embedded in agriculture and a love for working with his hands. Farming with his father was the central part of his life until he later worked as a grain elevator operator. He continued this career until his retirement, reflecting a lifelong respect for the land of this valley.

Larry was a former member of the Morrill Sons of the American Legion. He was a tractor enthusiast and faithful Wyoming Cowboys fan. Larry carried his love for farming into caring meticulously for his own yard at home. He was a true animal lover that adored his precious dog Buddy and cat Ernie. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and making lifelong memories.

Survivors include his wife, Bert Jeffres; children, Andrew (Becky), Aaron (Lisa), and Tyson (Christy) Feagler; siblings, Lorraine Keller, Roger (Mary) Feagler, and Richard Feagler; uncle, David Feagler; grandchildren, Carter Weedin, and Logan, Luke, Claira, and Makinley Feagler; and several cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary Feagler; beloved uncle, Henry “Hiney” Feagler; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
