LeRoy Kevin Steele

LeRoy Kevin Steele, 78, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away at his home on Monday, September 18, 2023. Cremation has taken place in accordance with LeRoy’s wishes. LeRoy was born November 10, 1944, in New Salem, North Dakota to Vernon and Opal (Middlesteader) Steele. He enlisted with the United States Navy following high school and served for three years.

LeRoy met the love of his life, Lilly Steele, and the two married on July 11, 1988, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

He worked and retired as a laborer in the laborer’s union. He loved traveling and enjoying the sights. LeRoy was an avid NASCAR fanatic and liked going to the races. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing many sports in his younger years.

LeRoy was a man who was very much appreciative of all those who assisted him and his wife in their final years. Although he did not often express his feelings, they were there. To those who understand this, be proud that you eased them both.

Survivors include his children, grandchildren, friends, and loved ones.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Opal; sister, Gloria Steele; and wife, Lilly Steele.
