Levi Ortega Jr.

Our hearts are broken to share that our wonderful brother, Levi Ortega Jr., passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, after living with muscular dystrophy for fifteen years. Levi maintained his appreciation for neighbors, friends, family, generosity, and kindness. Details regarding future services will be announced when available. Levi was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, in 1960, the oldest of four children to parents, Levi Sr. and Celestina (Aguilar) Ortega. He attended the Rocky Ford school district throughout his childhood, graduating with the class of 1979. He enjoyed playing many sports during his school years and beyond, including baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, and track, to name a few.

Levi spent most of his working career in the automotive industry, from positions as a salesperson to general manager. Besides the love for the automobiles themselves, he was foremost a people person. No matter your background, he could strike up a conversation, and soon you would know what a kind person he was.

Survivors include his brother, Eugene; sisters, Pauline and Eileen; as well as beloved nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Levi was preceded in death by his father, Levi Sr.; and mother, Celestina.
