Linda Jane Yellow Eyes

Linda Jane Yellow Eyes, age 79, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Regional West Medical Center surrounded by all her loved ones. Linda’s funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Scottsbluff YMCA Trails West Camp Retreat Center 1918 South Beltline Hwy West, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, Nebraska. A one-night wake service will begin at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2026, through service time Friday. Her journey in life started in Hisle, South Dakota when she was born on November 29, 1946, to Raymond and Loraine (Standing Soldier) Garcia.

Linda married the love of her life, Kenneth W. Yellow Eyes. The couple made their home in Alliance, Nebraska where together they raised three children: Leonard J. Garcia, Tracy L. Garcia, and Monica M. Garcia. They joyfully welcomed a baby boy named Thane D. Yellow Eyes in 1988. The family relocated to Morrill, Nebraska in 1990 and Linda secured employment working for Head Start in nearby Lyman, Nebraska, until her retirement in 2000.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her local grandkids: Paige, Trevor, Peyton, Prudence, Hunter, and Pace, and great grandson, Karter. She also always looked forward to getting together with her other close family members, Linda Richards, Rudy and Lori Torres, as well as extended family members and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Monica M. Garcia (Damian A. Condon) of Scottsbluff; grandkids, Paige L. Garcia (Vincent De Los Santos) and Trevor J. Garcia of Scottsbluff, Peyton L. Garcia of Lincoln, NE, Prudence L. Garcia, Hunter L. Garcia, and Pace Garcia all of Scottsbluff, and Landen G. Garcia and Logen J. Garcia of Harrison, NE; and great grandkids, Karter L. Garcia of Scottsbluff and Ataliesa M. Garcia of Ohio.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Loraine Garcia; brother, Donnie Garcia; husband, Kenneth W. Yellow Eyes; daughters, Yolanda J. Garcia and Tracy L. Garcia; sons, Leonard J. Garcia and Thane D. Yellow Eyes; and granddaughter, Pyper L Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Lattrel Richards, Trevor Garcia, Peyton Garcia, Hunter Garcia, Rudy Torres, and Brandon Calderon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pace Garcia, Karter Garcia, Ataliesa Garcia, and all of Linda’s beloved extended family members.
