Lynna Faye Engebretsen

Lynna Faye Engebretsen, age 82, of Chadron, Nebraska, and Douglas, Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held later this spring when the flowers she loved so much are in bloom. Born in Harrison, NE, to Ted and Rachel (Dunkin) Eberspecher, Lynna Faye was known for her infectious laughter, a touch of sass, and a heart that made everyone feel at home.

Throughout her life, Lynna Faye found joy in service to others, working for many years as a cosmetologist and later as a dedicated nurse’s aide in nursing homes. When she wasn't caring for people, she could be found tending to her beloved flower gardens. Her family always came first, and she loved them fiercely. Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Cherokee Rotherham (Matt); grandchildren, Austin and Adrianne Kennedy; and sister, Gail Haas.

Lynna Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nels; her son, Richard Almazon; and sisters, Teddi Lou and Meredith.
