Born in Bridgeport, Nebraska, Nancy graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and started her career in marketing before joining her husband, Andy, in operating Pepler Auto Sales. Nancy would tell you her greatest joy and purpose in life was being a daughter, wife, mom, and grandma. Those roles meant everything to her.
When her beloved husband Andy passed away suddenly 21 years ago, Nancy poured every ounce of her energy into raising her daughters, Ali and Brittany. She helped them complete their education, navigate careers, build marriages, and raise families — talking to each of them every single day. She wasn’t just their mother; she was their best friend and a steady presence through every season of life.
Diagnosed with cancer in 2023, Nancy fought with bravery and strength, giving her family the precious gift of time and intentional moments together. When asked about her bucket list, she simply said she just wanted to watch her grandchildren play sports.
To be around Nancy was to feel immediately at ease — like coming home. She had a rare gift for soothing souls just by being present, anticipating needs before they were voiced, and loving unconditionally. She was a fierce defender of her girls and grandchildren and created family traditions such as Christmas stockings, birthday surprises, and holiday gatherings that will be treasured and carried forward forever.
Nancy loved babies and dogs, was a gifted cook, a devoted Cornhusker fan, and a passionate supporter of women’s basketball. However, nothing brought her more joy than watching her grandchildren, Aiden, Luke, Max, and Andi, pursue their passions.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Ali Damron (David) and Brittany Clements (David); her grandchildren, Aiden and Luke Damron, and Max and Andi Clements; and her brother, John Holbrook (Cindy).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy L. Pepler; and her parents, Bill and Delores Holbrook.
