Robert "Bob" L. Hill Sr.

Robert “Bob” Leon Hill Sr., age 81, of Lyman, Nebraska left this world peacefully on, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his home. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held and announced at a later date. Bob was born on March 8, 1944, in Colby, Kansas, to Jake and Elizabeth (Hein). He met the love of his life and married Ramona Zamora and to this union came their two children, Dana and Robert Jr.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bob was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and deep love for the land he farmed. He spent his life working tirelessly and living simply, which were values he carried into everything he did. Whether he was out in the fields or sharing stories over a cup of coffee, he made an impression on everyone he met. Bob was the kind of man who would lend a hand without hesitation, and his presence brought warmth and steadiness to those around him.

Bob faced life’s trials with quiet strength, including the heartbreaking loss of his beloved daughter at a young age. This was a sorrow he carried in his heart always. He now joins her in heaven, reunited in peace at last. His family is grateful for the years they had with him, the lessons he taught, and the legacy of love, resilience, and community he leaves behind.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona; son, Robert (Lea Sinner) Hill Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany (Clint Libsack) Hill, Tyler (Sarah) Hill, Trevor McKiney, and Tristyn (Jacob Baros) McKiney; great grandchildren, Azlynn Neumann, Walker Gutherless, and Kohen Hill; sister, Minnie Marker; and many cherished friends who were like family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and five sisters; daughter, Dana McKiney; and sister-in-laws, Irene Zamora and Stephanie Steiner.
