Ronnie was born November 11, 1967, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Michael Bernard and Darlene Lecza-Bernard. He was active in Boy Scouts and Civil Air Patrol during his youth and teenage years. Ronnie felt at peace in the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and camping throughout his childhood. He was a graduate of Stratford High School in Stratford, Connecticut.

Ronnie soon moved with his family to Western Nebraska.  It was shortly after that when he joined the United States Army in 2007. He proudly served his country overseas in Germany and also had two tours to Afghanistan.  Ronnie became a proud father to his only son, David, while serving in Germany.

He began a trucking career in Germany, a profession he continued when he returned to Nebraska following his honorable discharge from the Army. He later moved to Gillette, Wyoming and then Rapid City where he remained driving trucks.

Ronnie will be dearly missed, and forever remembered as a fun-loving guy who always had a smile to share.

Survivors include his son, David Bernard of Germany; father, Michael Bernard of Gering; sister, Michele (Chris) Aguallo of Morrill; nephews and niece, James Morlock of Kentucky, Jeremy and Brandon Aguallo both of Morrill, and Katrina Aguallo of Gillette, WY; significant other and her grandchildren, Sandra, AJ and Addie Miller all of Rapid City, SD; along with other extended family members and friends.
