Angel De Anda Rocha, 77, of Morrill, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 18, 2021  at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Mitchell with Fr. Mike McDonald as Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery near Morrill.  Visitation will be held from noon to 6 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Theresa’s with a Rosary beginning at 6 p.m.  The service will be livestreamed and recorded to Angel’s obituary page at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Angel was born in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico on August 2, 1944 to Aurora Rocha and Jose De Anda. He married Socorro Ayala on March 8, 1975 in Mitchell, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two boys.

Angel started his career in Nebraska as a farmer. He then worked for the meat packing plant, Stanko, for ten years.  He moved to Mexico in 1988 where he became a merchant for the next 33 years in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He was a very honest, hard-working man. A man of faith that was always the pillar for his family, loving his wife and family. He loved walking and playing poker.

Survivors include his wife, Socorro of Morrill; children, Fernando of Cancun, Mexico and Roberto of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; grandchildren, Michelle, Angel, Fernanda and Renata; along with many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora Rocha; father, Jose De Anda; and brothers, Federico De Anda and Amparo Padilla.

Angel De Anda Rocha, de 77 años, de Morrill, murió inesperadamente el jueves 18 de noviembre de 2021 en el Hospital de la Universidad de Colorado en Aurora, Colorado. Se llevará a cabo una misa de entierro cristiano a las 10:30 a.m., el martes 23 de noviembre de 2021 en la iglesia católica de Santa Teresa en Mitchell con el p. Mike McDonald como celebrante. Seguirá el sepelio en el cementerio Forest Lawn cerca de Morrill. Angel comenzó su carrera en Nebraska como agricultor. Luego trabajó para la planta empacadora de carne, Stanko, durante diez años.
