Gordon was born in Minatare, Nebraska on July 24, 1936, to Henry and Katie (Bauer) Keller.  He graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1954.  Gordon joined the National Guard at a young age and went on to retire from there after 23 years of service. He worked for Z&W for many years and also the movie theater, where he met the love of his life, Jo Anne McFall.  They were married on January 11, 1963. The same day they moved into their new house that Gordon helped build and have resided there ever since.  Gordon and Jo Anne welcomed their son, Steve, in 1964 and their daughter, Kari, in 1967.

Gordon spent a large part of his career as a manager for propane companies.  He later drove a school bus for Lake Minatare School, where he adored all of the kids.  He also drove the Handy Bus for a number of years.

Gordon and Jo Anne spent a lot of time in their younger years camping at Lake Minatare with family. Gordon was an avid Husker and Bronco fan!  Most of all, he loved just spending time with family, going to lunch with them every Saturday.  His family meant the world to him.

He was a very quiet, easy-going, loving, husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa.  His pride and joy were his kids, grandkids, and great granddaughter! He never missed a sporting event or activity of his kids or grandchildren.  Gordon and Jo Anne could be found almost every morning at Bluff’s Bakery having their favorite cinnamon and sugar bagel with honey nut cream cheese, visiting with many friends.

Survivors include his wife of over 59 years, Jo Anne Keller; two children, Steve Keller and Kari (Doug) Yost; two grandchildren, Morgan (Kyle) Wallace and Parker Yost; great granddaughter, Myla Wallace; brother, Don (Marcia) Keller; along with numerous sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Katie Keller; in laws, Herb and Arleen McFall; sister and brother in law, Helen and Walt Loose; and brother in law, Robert Moscrip.
