Richard Liljegren

October 16, 1983 — November 12, 2022

It was at 6:47 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, that Richard William Liljegren took his last breath and in doing so, saved three lives.  Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes.   A celebration of Richard’s life will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Richard was born October 16, 1983, in Denver, Colorado to Kevin Liljegren and Catherine (Stackhouse).

He married Leila Mae Rice. The love for his wife was passionate and intense, creating an energy that could be felt by others around them.

He prided himself in his love for his children.  Their ages range 22 to 3, and Richard tried his hardest to make the right decisions for them, even if it made them mad or upset. He gave his all at every job he ever worked, especially while working the dredge at DeWess Sand and Gravel.  It was there he became, “Captain Dick” and the nickname stuck.

Survivors include his wife, Leila Liljegren; his parents; seven children, Curtis Anderson, Michael and Ashley, Ravin Lee Liljegren, Rantin Raye Liljegren, Rohnan LeRoy Lilegren, and Oryan William Liljegren; granddaughter, Zoella Anderson; brothers-in-law, Randy Rice Jr., Curt Rice, Casey Lashley, and Zigmont Del Mastro; sisters-in-law, Kim Rice, and Lacee Rice Del Mastro; along aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; aunt, Trish Gillette; mother-in-law, Tina Grubbs; cousin-in-law, Jason Wheeler; and several close friends.
